  • Page views. We count how many times a post is read. The counter stores a one-way hash of your IP address and browser string purely so the same visit is not counted twice — the original values are never written to our database.
  • Server logs. Our web server records requests, including IP address, for security and troubleshooting. These rotate automatically.
  • What you send us. If you submit a content report we keep your name, email address and the details of the report so we can act on it and keep a record of the decision.

Cookies and local storage

We use a session cookie so forms work and cannot be forged, and your browser's local storage to remember whether you chose the light or dark theme. Neither is used for tracking.

Advertising

Advertising slots on this site are filled by a third-party advertising network. That network may set its own cookies or similar identifiers and may collect data about your visit in order to select and measure ads. We do not control that collection. Third parties

We load web fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of that request. Our site is served through a content delivery network, which also processes request data on our behalf.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Write to our contact address and we will respond.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page.
